Negative Ads Derail Gingrich Campaign

The Gingrich campaign is crying "foul" over the deluge of negative advertising that aired duing the Iowa caucus, all secretly funded by the "Restore Our Future" super PAC. Newt Gingrich fingered Mitt Romney for the mudslinging, accusing the Massachusetts governor of hiding behind the PAC currently run by former Romney attorneys. Romney said he had nothing to do with it, although he did agree with the content of the ads. The five commercials that ran during the two weeks period prior to voting day included accusations like "Gingrich is an asshole" and "Newt is a Dick".

"When it comes down to it, Newt is a douchebag," said Romney in a recent statement. Polls support Romney's claim. In a recent AP Poll, 38 per cent of voters consider Gingrich a "Dick Face", 22 per cent think he's a "Shit Bag" and 4 per cent label him a "Flaming Asshole". Mel Compost, the Gingrich Campaign Manager, sharply retorted that Newt wasn't "that big of an asshole", and that he wasn't a dick most of the time.
